Job Description
Gifford is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to handle the end-to-end preauthorization process for Surgeries, Short term rehabilitation, Orthotics, Echocardiograms, Nuclear stress tests, MRI’s and CT scans.
The Prior Authorization Specialist is responsible for the accurate, timely submission, tracking, filing, and documentation of requests to ensure seamless patient care and proper reimbursement. This role involves effective department communication with both internal and external staff, and collaboration with clinical nurses and providers. Previous experience with medical terminology, excellent computer and typing skills, preferred. This role will maintain up-to-date information for the prior authorization process, requiring attention to detail while maintaining compliance with payer requirements.
Requirements:
