About This Position

Job Overview:

The Manager is responsible for analyzing data, facilitate the monthly closing process and generate timely internal reports, for the Budgeting, Finance Review and Reporting, Current and Long-term Forecast, system auditing and maintenance for all assigned entities. This role plays an integral part in assuring financial reporting is accurate, the system’s budget is complete and precise, forecast metrics are reasonable, and the end users are supported and aware of the financial reporting system. This position will work directly with the AVP of Finance and department heads to educate, train, provide system guidance, and review reports and analysis. This role plays an integral part of the budgeting process and assuring appropriate reporting, throughout the year. They will track and process expenses by Dept. and monitor department budgets.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in Budgeting, Forecasting, and/or Financial Analytics, along with system processes
  • Hospital based accounting experience
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing budgets/forecasts
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree
  • Knowledge of Peoplesoft and Strata application
  • 2+ years previous Management experience, leading a small team

Essential Functions:

  • Assists the AVP of Finance in the preparation of financial and statistical reports
  • Provide financial analysis, planning & forecasting which may include consolidation of financial data from various sources, analyzing current and past financial/ data & performance
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Develop and timely maintain schedules of operating expenses, capital, and FTEs
  • Build complex financial models and /or forecasting, benchmarking and process analysis
  • Extract data from various systems on a recurring basis and analyze for accuracy
  • Assist in the review of General Ledger activity monthly for accuracy
  • Assist in the annual budget process and collection and validation of data
  • Completes special projects, ad hoc requests and other duties as assigned
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
