As a key player in the underwriting team, you will provide support for complex submissions, assisting in training initiatives and fostering a collaborative environment.Accountabilities
- Evaluate creditworthiness of borrowers based on detailed documentation.
- Ensure all loans meet corporate credit policy and compliance standards.
- Review loan files for accuracy and completeness before final approval.
- Analyze financial stability of self-employed individuals and their business income.
- Verify all necessary documentation is complete and accurate before closing.
- Communicate effectively with various stakeholders regarding loan statuses.
- Assist in the training of team members and support key initiatives.
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of recent Mortgage Underwriting experience (FHA, VA, Conventional).
- DE, SAR and LAPP certifications strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ATR/QM requirements and mortgage insurance guidelines.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting production standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Competitive hourly rate ranging from $32.69 to $49.52.
