About The Role
The Senior Account Sales Executive, Kids' Apparel – Off-Price is responsible for comprehensive account management in the off-price market. This role covers the entire process from product preparation and proposal to sell-in, account administration, and order transactions. The position requires close coordination with Logistics, Order Management, Production, and Merchandising to ensure the brand aligns with each retailer's goals and optimizes commercialization.
Key Responsibilities (included, but not limited to)
- Develop a strategic plan to meet and exceed annual sales goals specific to the off-price segment in kids' apparel.
- Promote and expand the brand's presence within existing and new off-price accounts.
- Share available-to-sell (ATS) updates every Monday to capture ongoing opportunities aligned with retailers’ open-to-buy (OTB) and in-season purchasing needs.
- Secure and oversee all bulk orders, cost requests, and design requirements in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Maintain weekly contact with buyers to review product performance and identify seasonal opportunities for kids' apparel.
- Analyze competitive pricing and bestsellers across kids’ categories, providing actionable insights.
- Pursue new business opportunities to drive incremental sales within off-price.
- Leverage marketing tools, in-store promotions, and social media to boost product visibility.
- Strategically negotiate in-store placement with accounts to enhance sales and minimize markdown allowances.
- Work with the planning team and liaise directly with retailer planning teams as needed.
- Conduct regular market visits or virtual meetings to secure and follow up on account appointments.
- Monitor and maintain a clean order book by running daily reports, requesting extensions, and implementing substitutions when necessary.
- Track YTD sales against monthly targets and adjust strategies to achieve goals.
- Oversee Sales Coordinator activities, ensuring accurate order data on pricing, units, terms, shipping, and quantities.
- Provide weekly account updates to team leaders and management, ensuring alignment with brand goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10+ years in sales, with a proven track record of exceeding quotas, particularly in off-price and international markets.
- Strong understanding of business development, including market expansion and new account acquisition.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (with intermediate to advanced Excel skills) and experience with CRM/database systems.
- Travel consists of up to 20% or more domestically and internationally.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage support staff.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build lasting client relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
