Fan Engagement & Grassroots Marketing Coordinator

Location: Boston, MA

Reports to: Sr Manager, Grassroots Marketing
Job: Exempt | Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Program & Team Management

  • Manage full time employees and part time Street Team members and materials, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality activations and generate leads.
  • Own the execution and reporting of the fan engagement calendar, including grassroots activations, supporter events, and pub partner programs.
  • Oversee fan engagement budgets, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and activations deliver measurable ROI.
  • Represent Boston Legacy FC at grassroots events, partner activations, and supporter gatherings.
  • Keep inventory of street team materials by liaising with Street Team leadership.

Data & Insights

  • Track fan engagement performance through fan data, lead generation, and event reporting.
  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to analyze trends and apply insights to strengthen engagement strategies.
  • Support fan research initiatives to identify opportunities for growth and community impact.

Matchday & Non-Matchday Activation

  • Direct grassroots and community engagement programming on matchdays and non-matchdays, including social responsibility initiatives, pub partner activations, and local community outreach.
  • Collaborate with the Fan Experience teams to ensure that all fan-facing activations enhance the overall supporter journey.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in marketing, fan experience, fan engagement, sales, or an equivalent field
  • Experience with High school or College athletics
  • Experience using Google Suite of products (Google Sheets) with a high competency of digital organization tools
  • A proven self-starter who takes initiative without waiting for direction and who can find creative solutions
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in event planning, managing calendars and budgets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, specifically experience in building relationships across different cultures and community groups.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends, and holidays, as required by game schedules or events.
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese highly preferred
  • Local to the Boston area
  • Has existing knowledge of untapped fan bases and local soccer communities

The pay range for this role is:
58,000 - 65,000 USD per year(Boston, MA)
