Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist with the setup, service, and clean-up of all assigned banquet functions to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to meet event specifications and guest expectations
- Oversee banquet staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of service and professionalism
- Monitor event progress and address any issues promptly to maintain quality standards
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and alcohol regulations, including verifying proper alcohol service
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to facilitate successful event execution
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
Requirements:Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related hospitality field
- High School diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in a related field is helpful
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Valid Alcohol Awareness Certification in accordance with state regulations
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
- Strong decision-making skills, capable of evaluating and selecting among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle stressful situations with professionalism
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach to job responsibilities
- Strong oral communication skills and a customer/client-oriented mindset
- Ability to work well as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
