Pool & Maintenance Technician

As a Pool & Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the daily care, maintenance, and upkeep of community pools and assigned facilities. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety help ensure that amenities remain inviting, operational, and compliant with applicable standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Pool & Maintenance Technician, your duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Pool Operations & Maintenance: Perform daily pool maintenance, including water testing, chemical balancing, cleaning, and equipment inspections to ensure safe and compliant pool operations.
- Pool Openings & Closings: Assist with seasonal pool openings, closings, and routine inspections in accordance with Company and regulatory guidelines.
- Equipment Monitoring: Inspect and maintain pool pumps, filters, heaters, and related systems; identify issues and report or assist with repairs as needed.
- General Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs in community amenities and common areas, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure pool areas and facilities meet safety standards, promptly address hazards, and report concerns to management.
- Facility Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness in and around pool areas, including decks, furniture, restrooms, and storage areas.
- Work Order Support: Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Vendor Coordination: Assist with coordinating external vendors or service providers when specialized repairs are required.
- Event Support: Support community events by ensuring pool and amenity areas are clean, safe, and properly prepared.
- Resident Interaction: Interact professionally and courteously with residents while performing maintenance duties.
- Independent Work: Work independently as a self-starter, demonstrating initiative, reliability, and strong time management skills.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Facilities Manager and other team members to support overall community operations.
- Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience in pool maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred
Current Florida Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification required.
Knowledge of Florida Department of Health pool regulations and safety standards
Knowledge of pool chemicals, testing procedures, and equipment maintenance
Ability to perform general maintenance and minor repairs
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Basic computer or mobile device proficiency for work orders and communication
Flexible availability, including weekends or on-call support as needed
Reliable transportation to and from work
Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as required
Occasional travel may be required
