Summary
The Spec, Loss Mit Doc III is responsible for 2nd review on all incomplete packages and accounts with upcoming Foreclosure sale dates. Also responsible for quality review of all Document Specialists I’s and II’s. Will also be responsible in assisting Doc Specialist I and II as needed, depending on workflow.
Essential Job Functions may include:
- Responsible for daily user maintenance of equipment.
- Review all incoming documents received from borrowers, all letters issued to borrower and the current status of the file.
- Clearly notate system of record with documents still needed from borrower.
- Keep record of accounts that Document Specialist, I and/or II improperly handled for coaching opportunities.
- Ensure Document Specialist, II properly uploaded all documentation from borrowers into Tempo or EMDS.
- Issue letters to borrowers advising what items remain missing and advising that LM review is being closed out.
- Communicate with Underwriting, Mediations, Litigation, Foreclosure and SPOC teams on file statuses.
- Thoroughly review files with pending Foreclosure sale dates to determine if we are able to send to Underwriting for a decision.
- Review reports daily to ensure items completed the previous day were done accurately and correctly.
- Respond to emails and Comtags on a daily basis in a professional and accurate manner.
- Must be in compliance of established timelines and quality decisions for each file assigned.
- Familiar with mortgage documents required.
- Must be familiar with financial documents.
- Must have experience with processing.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
1-2 years experience as LM Document Specialist, II is required, or one-year related experience and/or training, some College/Associates Degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficient in Excel, Adobe Acrobat and knowledge of various file formats.
Language Skills:
Ability to read business journals, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, employees, customers and/or the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Personal/Organizational Contacts:
Regular and substantial contact with others. Contacts usually involve discussions related to file status and documentation provided. Handles sensitive, and/or confidential information.
Customer Service Relationships:
Requires normal courteous interaction and basic interpersonal skills and tact to communicate with others. Forwards non-routine inquiries or requests to appropriate individual and/or department.
Work Complexity:
Tasks are highly interrelated and simple. Work consists of fairly standard procedures and tasks.
Independent Judgement/Problem Solving:
Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed by supervisor. Limited opportunity exists for exercising independent judgment and decision making. Refers most problems to supervisor.
