About This Position

Parts Associate

We are looking for a Parts Associate to join our growing team. You will be working with a team of amazing people servicing the Transportation Industry. Come kick-start your career with us today!

Hours of work are:

  • Monday - Thursday 4:30pm - 2:30am

Things you will do:

· Provide top-notch, high quality customer service to all Magnum customers (internal and external)

· Ability to effectively analyze and respond to customer inquiries in a timely fashion

· Document customer concerns accurately and effectively relay all details to maintenance

· Escalate issues that are outside of the standard scope of work as required

· Ability to analyze mechanical information provided by the mechanics and enter information into the system with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

· Responsible for retrieving parts required for repairs and maintenance and interacting with Mechanics

· Conduct parts research, identification and order activities for internal and external customers

· Perform warehouse activities in support of internal and external customers

· Ability to prioritize workload and multi-task as required in a fast-paced work environment

· Generate and prepare required documentation for maintenance work to be performed

· Communicate directly with customers in person, via phone and by email where required

· Assist with the retrieval of parts required to perform services as required for the maintenance team

· Finalize customer orders after services have been performed and submit to management for approval in a timely fashion

· Monitor and respond to activities at the service counter including customer contact and parts

· Responsible for accepting and managing customer payments for services performed

· Project a professional image that positively represents the Company to internal and external customers

· Perform other duties as required

What you have:

1. Grade 12 or equivalent

2. 1 -3 years’ experience in service / parts environment

3. Parts knowledge of transportation industry an asset

4. Customer service experience required

5. Mechanical aptitude asset

6. Knowledge of equipment maintenance and equipment components & parts

7. Proficient with computers & the Microsoft Office Suite

8. Ability to communicate both verbal & written in the English language

9. Ability to read & write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

10. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees in the organization

11. Effective problem-solving skills and strong logic

12. Strong organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

14. Professional demeanor and superior customer service skills
