About This Position

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organized environment within the production facility to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations. This role supports a safe and efficient workplace by performing cleaning and maintenance tasks in production, packaging, and common areas

.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, floors, walls, and surfaces using approved cleaning agents, following food safety protocols (e.g., GMP, HACCP).

• Collect, sort, and dispose of waste, recyclables, and production byproducts in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines.

• Assist in cleaning and maintaining non-production equipment, such as tools, bins, and workstations, to ensure hygiene standards.

• Replenish cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other materials in designated areas.

• Maintain cleanliness in common areas, such as break rooms, restrooms, and offices, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.

• Adhere to safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards or maintenance issues to supervisors.

• Log cleaning activities and report completion of tasks as required for compliance and audits.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior cleaning experience in food manufacturing or similar environments required.

Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., FDA, HACCP, GMP) preferred.

Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions and schedules.

Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Familiarity with safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment.

Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
