Responsibilities:

• Perform commissioning activities and optimize building energy systems.
• Lead on-site commissioning investigations and troubleshoot system performance issues.
• Provide MEP technical guidance throughout the design and construction phases.
• Support energy audits, feasibility studies, and system optimization initiatives.
• Serve as a technical liaison between engineers, contractors, and building owners to ensure alignment, quality, and performance.
• Participate in industry engagement, professional development, and continuing education activities.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of internal standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Oregon, or ability to obtain within 12 months
• Minimum of six years of experience in MEP system design, commissioning, or related consulting work
• Proven experience with HVAC and central plant systems; healthcare facility experience is highly desirable
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound, timely decisions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing experience
• Ability to evaluate concepts and systems with accuracy and insight
• Demonstrates accountability, follow-through, and resilience
• Able to bring clarity to complex or ambiguous situations by linking technical details to practical outcomes
• Effectively balances quality, schedule, and client expectations through sound professional judgment
