Position Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and motivated summer student to support our asset management initiative by documenting and organizing information for our marine infrastructure assets. The successful candidate will travel to various farm sites to gather technical details, verify existing information, and enter accurate data into our digital asset management system. They will also help design and implement a standardized asset‑tagging method to improve long‑term traceability and maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel to farm sites to locate, identify, and document marine infrastructure assets.
  • Collect and verify design information, specifications, and condition data.
  • Enter asset information into the company’s asset management platform.
  • Develop a durable and practical asset‑tagging strategy.
  • Apply tagging to assets in the field and ensure accurate linkage to digital records.
  • Collaborate with operations personnel to access sites and equipment.
  • Maintain clear, organized records of collected data and completed work.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (engineering, environmental science, data/technology, or related field preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently to farm sites throughout the summer.
  • Comfortable working outdoors and around marine environments.
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills; able to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
