Department: People Team
Reports To: Chief HR Officer
Location: Remote, UK
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000

Role Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded Learning & People Advisor to join our People Team. This is a varied and impactful role covering the full spectrum of HR operations and employee learning and development. You will work closely with the Chief People Officer and business leaders to ensure our people processes are compliant, our learning content is engaging and effective, and our workplace is safe for everyone.
This role is well suited to someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable working across multiple disciplines without direct management responsibility. You will be the go-to person for day-to-day people matters, e-learning design, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

HR & People
• Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees on matters including employee relations, absence management, performance, and disciplinaries, in line with UK employment law
• Manage the full employee lifecycle — from recruitment coordination and onboarding through to offboarding and exit interviews
• Draft and maintain employment contracts, offer letters, HR policies, and the employee handbook, ensuring compliance with current legislation (Employment Rights Act, Equality Act 2010, etc.)
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS
• Support managers with appraisals, probation reviews, and development conversations
• Assist the CHRO with people projects and initiatives as required

Learning & Development
• Design, build, and maintain SCORM-compliant e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, or iSpring
• Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training records are accurate, accessible, and up to date
• Conduct learning needs analyses across the business and develop content to address skills gaps and compliance requirements
• Monitor training completion rates and report on learning effectiveness to the CHRO and senior leadership
• Source and coordinate external training providers where specialist content is required
• Champion a positive learning culture across the organisation
Person Specification

Essential
• CIPD Level 5 qualified, or equivalent demonstrable HR experience
• Proven experience designing and building SCORM e-learning content using an authoring tool (e.g. Articulate Storyline, and Rise)
• Sound working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience managing or administering an LMS
• Familiarity with health and safety responsibilities in a workplace setting
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• This position will require travel to Margate, Acton, and Maidenhead up to 25% of the time

Desirable
• Experience working within a People Team or progressive HR function
• Familiarity with instructional design principles
• Experience supporting HR within a manufacturing, distribution, or operationally intensive environment

What We Offer
• A collaborative and supportive People Team environment
• Opportunities for continued professional development including study support
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
• Anticipated Hiring Range between £50,000 – £65,000
• Private Medical and Dental Insurance options
