About This Position
The Weekend Residential Manager (RM) supervises the Direct Support Professionals (DSP) that work in WCDC homes to ensure that clients in our Residential Program lead safe and meaningful lives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with WCDC residential team in the planning, decision making, facilitation of processes, procedures, and policies. Success in this position also requires a willingness to make decisions and exhibit sound and accurate judgement. This is an exempt position that reports directly to the Assistant Residential Director (RD).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central point of contact between clients, client families, relevant partner service organizations and relevant WCDC departments to empower residents to lead rich and meaningful lives.
- Perform on-site resident visits to make sure all WCDC residential properties are compliant with WCDC policies and COMAR regulations with regards to cleanliness, security, and safety.
- Ensure WCDC residences are fully staffed per the ratios and client-specific needs stipulated in individual Person Centered Plans.
- Participate in the interviewing, hiring, and training process for new residential staff members. Provide on-call support to staff members on a rotating basis.
- Ensure all residential staff pass and maintain certifications in Med Tech, CPR, First Aid, Mandt, special needs training and other related training as required.
- Monitor employee performance and attendance as required by WCDC policy to ensure timely and accurate payroll.
- Ensure daily, weekly & monthly completion of requisite forms (online and paper where required) documenting services provided to ensure timely and accurate billing for services provided.
- Review specified residential expenses monthly to assure WCDC residences come in at or under budget.
- Other duties as assigned
Hours: The duties and hours are typically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, along with a shortened day on Monday but depend upon the needs of the program.
Rate of Pay: Commensurate based on experience
Requirements:Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old, with a valid driver's license, and approved to transport clients. License may not be Provisionals and have a driving record that reflects responsibility and maturity. Complete all DDA Core Training successfully.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree required in Human Services or other related field. May substitute 2 – 5 years of leadership/management experience for required degree.
Physical Demands/work Environment: Must be able to stand and walk 90% of work time; sit and/or drive 10%. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull 60 pounds; must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch and reach. All of the requirements are necessary in order to properly supervise and assist individuals with disabilities. Should be able to climb stairs/ladder and have good balance. Vision is required in order to drive.
