About This Position
-Personal Care Assistance: Assist individuals with daily activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, eating, and mobility.
-Encourage Independence: Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as meal preparation, household chores, and money management.
-Goal Implementation: Help individuals achieve their personal goals as outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP) by providing guidance, encouragement, and positive reinforcement.
-Social and Recreational Support: Facilitate and encourage social interactions, leisure activities, and recreational outings to promote community engagement and a healthy social life.
-Health & Safety: Ensure the well-being and safety of individuals by monitoring health conditions, administering medications as needed, and assisting with medical appointments.
-Behavioral Support: Utilize positive behavioral interventions and strategies to support individuals in managing challenging behaviors and promoting positive actions.
-Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided, including daily logs, progress notes, goals reporting, medication logs, finance ledgers, and incident reports as required.
-Collaboration: Work as part of a team to support individuals and communicate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure consistent care and services.
-Emergency Response: Act promptly and effectively in emergency situations, ensuring the health and safety of individuals at all times.

Requirements:High School diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in direct care or support roles (preferred but not required).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic understanding of developmental disabilities and related healthcare needs.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
Ability to lift and assist individuals with mobility needs as required.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if applicable).
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to complete and pass a background check per company standards.
