About This Position
Summary/Objective
The Assembly Tech Lead is responsible for supervising all areas of assembly within the manufacturing plant to achieve production deadlines and schedule adherence. This position plans and directs workflow through the communication of task lists and ensures each task is completed efficiently, safely, and that customer expectations are met or exceeded to achieve overall goals of the company.

- Supervise and manage assembly employees for adherence to operational and quality procedures.
- Manage work in progress and maintain shop production schedule, coordinating all production activity with the fabrication foreman and various departments to include first process, and paint/blast.
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely and meet customer delivery expectations.
- Oversee all personnel issues to include performance, employee relation issues and disciplinary process in conjunction with company policies and management.
- Organize and implement shop mentoring program for new and or inexperienced assemblers.
- Responsible for ensuring hours are logged to proper job and report weekly for payroll.
this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019.

Supervisor Responsibility
This position supervises assembly employees per the direction/approval of the Plant Manager concerning all employee relations.
Work Environment
Non-temperature-controlled environment with loud noises, dust, dirt, and metal particles that are usually associated with metal fabrication shops. All employees are required to wear personal protective equipment to include noise/hearing protection, safety glasses with side shields, and OSHA compliant safety boots/shoes within the manufacturing facility.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee in this position is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. This position requires walking, the ability to reach, ascend/descend ladders, bend, kneel, and stoop. The employee occasionally will lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
No travel is required for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- 5 years of demonstrated experience and/or training.
- Ability to read Blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Possession of strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2-year technical degree or vocational certificate in related field.
- 2 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory
