About This Position
Job Summary:
The Information Systems Manager is responsible for developing, managing and maintaining all internal information systems. Responsible for overall support and integrity of existing systems and the planning and development for future IT needs.
This position has overall management responsibility and accountability for the implementation and maintenance of all IS initiatives with the goal of providing a highly reliable, stable and responsive IS function. The Information Systems Manager will collaborate with the end-users and senior management to ensure the alignment of IS infrastructure and systems with organization objectives and strategy.
In addition, this position provides and is accountable for the leadership, vision, direction, development, and maintenance of multiple complex and high priority projects for the department that directly impact the systems and/or business strategies of the organization.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Provide support and drive success in the design, development, and implementation of key information systems projects identified by the Administration, clinics, and programs.
- Partner with senior leadership team to support the initiatives of the organization’s Strategic Plan.
- Maintain an inclusive style that creates good will in the eyes of the internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and monitor transparent key performance indicators for the IS department.
- Recruit, coach, and manage the Information Systems team.
- Responsible for systems development leadership which includes efficient utilization of computers as tools and assessment of new hardware and software.
- Designs the technical architecture and the integration of hardware, operating systems, and connectivity.
- Responsible for coordination of computer hardware and software maintenance with established vendors.
- Develop and maintain IT tools, infrastructure, and workflows that support field-based staff in home health and hospice, as well as remote employees across the organization. This includes ensuring secure mobile device management, reliable remote EHR access, virtual collaboration tools, and responsive IT support for off-site team members.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, CMS Conditions of Participation, PCI DSS, HRSA/BPHC and all applicable IT security standards.
- Actively participate in organization-wide strategic planning to align IS capabilities with future clinical and administrative goals, including 340B program support, community health initiatives, and aging-in-place services.
- Recommend purchase of hardware and software by gathering information for appropriate bids, which includes researching information and writing appropriate purchase orders.
- Prepare and maintain Policies and Procedures with consultation from appropriate staff.
- Maintain resource library of reference materials regarding hardware and software use.
- Ensure that the Disaster Recovery Program is up to date and accurate for all computer systems.
- Acts as the Information Security Officer.

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. Advanced degree in related field preferred.
- An Associate’s Degree and seven years of relevant experience can be substituted for the Bachelor’s Degree requirement.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in information systems management. Desired experience in a health care organization.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to work with cross- functional teams, partner organizations, and consultants.
- Clear and effective communicator verbally and in writing.
- Self-starter capable of working with autonomy and little feedback.
- Outstanding judgment and good sense when representing the organization and its brand.
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
