About This Position
Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems used for steam, heating, cooling, and industrial processing.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts and specifications.
Measure, cut, thread, and weld pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
Inspect systems for leaks, corrosion, and other issues; perform repairs or replacements as needed.
Test piping systems for proper pressure levels and functionality.
Collaborate with other trades, project managers, and team members to complete projects efficiently.
Follow all safety procedures, codes, and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and working condition.
Document work performed and report progress or issues to supervisors.
- 2+ years experience working as a steamfitter or pipefitter, ideally in a industrial environment
- Reliable transportation and valid/active driver's license
- Ability to pass a background and drug check
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Knowledge of piping systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
Willingness to work overtime, night shifts, or weekends as needed.
