  • Build, manage, and maintain a strategic international patent portfolio, collaborating with R&D, product, and engineering teams to identify and protect innovations.
  • Develop and implement global trademark and brand protection strategies, ensuring consistent use and safeguarding brand integrity across markets.
  • Oversee outside counsel domestically and internationally, managing patent prosecution, trademark filings, and portfolio lifecycle.
  • Provide legal guidance on IP-related commercial contracts, licensing, and risk management, balancing business objectives with legal compliance.

  • Educate and advise internal stakeholders on IP best practices, fostering a culture of awareness and responsible innovation.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate combines legal expertise with strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • 7+ years of intellectual property law experience, with strong emphasis on patents in software, gaming, or related technologies; 2+ years of in-house experience preferred.
  • Experience managing global patent and trademark portfolios and advising on commercial IP contracts.
  • Registration to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) preferred; experience drafting patent applications a plus.
  • Familiarity with online gaming, mobile platforms, or technology environments preferred.
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills; able to collaborate with technical and business teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting product launches and software lifecycle management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $180,000 – $210,000 USD.
  • Discretionary annual bonus (eligibility varies by role).
  • 401(k) plan with 100% company match on the first 4%.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, including HSA & FSA options.
  • Paid time off and flexible leave policies.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental, emotional, and professional support.
  • Opportunities for career growth, autonomy, and development in a dynamic, high-impact industry.
  • Inclusive and supportive work environment with focus on creativity, collaboration, and professional development.
