Position SummaryThe Assistant Pro Shop Manager at Schuss plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the pro shop and overall guest experience. This position supports operational efficiency, drives sales, and ensures a high level of customer service in a fast-paced hospitality and recreation environment.
Working closely with the Pro Shop Manager, the Assistant Manager helps execute merchandising strategies, manage inventory, and support promotional initiatives. This role also includes supervising and developing team members to maintain strong product knowledge and service standards.
The ideal candidate is guest-focused, organized, and passionate about delivering a welcoming and engaging retail experience.
Key Responsibilities- Support daily pro shop operations, including scheduling, merchandising, and inventory management
- Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting with purchases
- Assist in executing sales strategies, promotions, and events to drive revenue
- Train, coach, and support pro shop staff to ensure high service standards and product knowledge
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent guest service
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Experience in a pro shop, golf environment, or sporting goods retail
- Knowledge of golf equipment, apparel, or recreational products
- Customer Focus: Ability to create positive guest interactions and resolve issues effectively
- Communication: Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Organization: Ability to manage inventory, tasks, and priorities efficiently
- Leadership: Ability to support, train, and motivate team members
