This role offers the opportunity to oversee and coordinate complex programs from planning through execution and evaluation. The Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure deliverables meet operational and technical objectives. You will act as a key liaison for stakeholders, providing updates, solving problems, and driving efficiency across projects. The position emphasizes both strategic oversight and hands-on program management, requiring strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. You will operate in a dynamic, safety-focused environment supporting mission-critical operations, with exposure to specialized aviation, flight test, and recovery programs. Collaboration, adaptability, and precision are central to success in this role.
- Coordinate and oversee program planning, execution, and evaluation across multiple projects
- Assist in defining project requirements, developing work plans, and managing resources
- Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Serve as primary point of contact for customer inquiries, program updates, and contract correspondence
- Support hiring, mentoring, and performance management for project teams
- Ensure all projects and subcontracts adhere to safety, compliance, and operational standards
- Prepare and maintain project plans, status reports, and metrics for stakeholder review
- Foster strong internal and external relationships, representing the program professionally
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level 1 preferred
- 5+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in military ground/flight test operations
- Knowledge of US Military and Federal Acquisition Regulations; experience with aircraft recovery programs (CDDAR) preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and program management tools
- U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance
