This role provides an exciting opportunity to drive transformative partnerships that expand opportunities for young people nationwide. You will lead the development and execution of a high-impact fundraising strategy, engaging with Fortune 500 companies and leading foundations to secure multi-year, multi-million-dollar investments. Working in a dynamic and mission-driven environment, you will collaborate with executive leadership, trustees, and cross-functional teams to create compelling partnership opportunities that align corporate and philanthropic priorities with national youth development initiatives. This position combines strategic outreach, relationship management, and program collaboration, with a focus on measurable impact and sustainable growth. You will play a pivotal role in scaling initiatives that prepare young people for success in life and careers while building a robust, high-performing development portfolio.
- Drive new business development to meet fundraising goals, focusing on multi-year, multi-million-dollar corporate and foundation gifts
- Manage a portfolio of 90–100 active prospects, including outreach, relationship cultivation, and lead qualification
- Build national partnerships to secure unrestricted funding and system-wide support for youth development initiatives
- Collaborate with trustees, executive leadership, and internal teams to design integrated partnership proposals and strategies
- Attend conferences and events to identify and engage prospective partners, conducting follow-up to advance opportunities
- Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of all prospecting and outreach activities in CRM systems
- Partner with program, marketing, digital, and finance teams to align development strategies with organizational goals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, or related field; equivalent work experience accepted
- 10+ years of experience in corporate or foundation fundraising, with a successful track record securing multi-faceted, multi-year partnerships
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience managing relationships across private and nonprofit sectors
- Proven ability to cultivate and manage relationships with senior executives and high-level donor representatives
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite; experience with fundraising or CRM software such as Raisers Edge NXT preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a complex environment
- Experience mentoring or managing team members is a plus
