About This Position
The Department of Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering (https://engineering.pitt.edu/bioengineering) invites applications from accomplished individuals with a PhD or equivalent degree in bioengineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related discipline for two appointment stream Research Assistant Professor positions. Applicants should have greater than six years of experience beyond the PhD degree in the field of medical instrumentation and data analytics. Preferred applicants will have significant experience in hemodynamic monitoring applications or greater than 10 years of experience. The position involves innovating, building, and validating sensors, instruments, and data analytics for such applications. The position responsibilities also include giving periodic progress reports via slide decks and written documents, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and supervising trainees. The Research Assistant Professor will also be responsible for publishing the scientific work conducted in peer reviewed journals and presenting findings at scientific meetings.
