POSITION SUMMARY

The HVAC Mechanic III will provide HVAC maintenance support. This position involves performing maintenance, diagnostic testing, overhauling, installation, and repairs on various types of equipment and controls related to air conditioning, dehumidification, refrigeration, ventilation, and heating systems within critically controlled environmental installations. A flexible working schedule may be required for this role.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED
• 8 years’ experience as a HVAC mechanic.
• 3 years’ experience in DDC Controls required.
• Universal CFC Certification, required
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and maintenance of power generation equipment is required.

• Basic computer skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Some climbing and balancing.
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
• Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 40% walking, and 45% standing.
• High noise levels are common with general maintenance.
• Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
• Must have sufficient endurance to perform tasks over long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• This role requires work in non-office settings such as machinery rooms, electrical distribution centers, server rooms, and industrial locations.
• Work requires exposure to heat/cold, noise, dust, mist, and/or fumes.
• Required the ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Requires wearing personal protective equipment such, safety glasses, fall protection harness, protective-toe footwear, gloves, hard hat, and hearing protection.
• Work hazards include electrical shock, confined spaces, and noise hazards.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check (NAC) per contract.
• Must complete all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Must be proficient with the English Language per contract.
