About This Position
Hightop Health is pleased to offer an opportunity for an experienced Manager of Clinical Recruitment & Experience to further elevate their talent acquisition expertise while playing a critical role in clinician hiring. The Manager of Clinical Recruitment & Onboarding Experience is responsible for building a clinician-centric recruiting strategy that supports Hightop Health’s continued growth. This role owns the full recruitment lifecycle and works collaboratively with clinical leadership, HR, operations, and credentialing teams to deliver a thoughtful, high-touch candidate experience and timely, high-quality hiring outcomes. This role is designed to be 80% full cycle recruitment and 20% clinical recruitment leadership.
This role has a strong focus on physician and advanced practice provider recruitment, particularly within behavioral health. You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and hiring high-caliber clinical professionals, including psychiatric physicians (MD/DO), advanced practice providers and therapists, who align with Hightop Health’s mission, values, and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for assigned clinical roles, including sourcing, screening, interview coordination, employment offers, negotiation, and acceptance.
- Proactively source candidates with a hunter mindset using job boards, professional associations, academic and residency/fellowship programs, networking, social media, direct outreach, and direct mail.
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for current and future clinical needs across target markets.
- Design and execute outreach campaigns to engage both active and passive candidates, highlighting Hightop Health’s clinician‑centric culture.
- Provide strategic leadership for clinician recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention initiatives across Hightop Health.
- Design and implement a comprehensive clinician talent strategy that supports current and future staffing needs, including growth, new programs, and expanded locations.
- Oversee end-to-end clinician recruiting processes (e.g., sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer development, pre-boarding) in collaboration with HR, Medical Leadership, and department leaders.
- Supervise staff involved in clinician recruitment and experience (e.g., recruiter(s), onboarding coordinators, clinician experience specialists), providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinician recruitment and experience (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates, retention, engagement scores).
- Partner with Marketing/Communications to promote Hightop Health’s employment brand among clinicians through targeted messaging, events, and digital channels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, Business, Psychology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5+ years of physician recruiting experience required, with a strong closing track record; experience recruiting psychiatrists and APPs strongly preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or similarly regulated environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and closing passive candidates using advanced sourcing techniques, cold calling, research, and market intelligence.
- Experience in a startup, high‑growth, or private‑equity‑backed environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing recruitment campaigns, pipelines, and engagement/retention programs.
- Strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations (e.g., EEO, anti-discrimination laws) and best practices for fair and equitable hiring.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and related technology tools; ability to analyze and present key metrics to leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills; able to represent Hightop Health positively to current and prospective clinicians.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple searches, initiatives, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to clinic locations, job fairs, and conferences (up to 25%).
