About This Position
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager in the United States.
This role is a high-impact engineering leadership position responsible for guiding a fully remote software engineering team and ensuring strong execution across the entire development lifecycle. You will play a key role in translating business priorities into technical delivery, driving accountability, and maintaining a consistent focus on quality, scalability, and performance. Acting as a hands-on technical leader, you will help shape architecture decisions, remove execution blockers, and ensure teams deliver reliably in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will work closely with executive leadership to align engineering output with company goals and long-term product vision. This is a highly autonomous role requiring strong decision-making, operational discipline, and a deep understanding of modern web and cloud-based systems. The environment is collaborative yet execution-driven, with a strong emphasis on outcomes, ownership, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will lead a distributed engineering team with full ownership of delivery, performance, and technical execution across projects. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software outcomes while driving efficiency, accountability, and alignment with business priorities:
- Lead and manage a remote engineering team, setting clear expectations for performance, delivery timelines, and technical standards.
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality code, testing, deployment, and system reliability.
- Identify technical risks, delivery bottlenecks, and engineering debt early, and take decisive action to resolve them.
- Provide direct technical leadership through code reviews, architecture input, and hands-on problem-solving when needed.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes by reducing friction and improving execution efficiency.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to align engineering priorities with business goals and product strategy.
- Ensure consistent delivery of scalable, maintainable SaaS solutions in a fast-moving remote environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader with proven experience managing engineering teams in distributed environments, combined with deep hands-on software engineering expertise. You are comfortable making tough decisions, driving accountability, and balancing speed with long-term system health:
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in engineering management roles.
- Proven success leading remote engineering teams with strong execution discipline and delivery ownership.
- Strong technical background in modern web technologies and scalable SaaS platforms.
- Hands-on ability to engage in architecture, code-level discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Experience identifying and resolving engineering bottlenecks, technical debt, and delivery risks.
- Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, measure progress, and improve team performance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with executive leadership.
- Nice to have: experience with Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, AWS, MongoDB, Redis, CI/CD tools, and LLM-based systems (prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, tool/function calling).
- Experience hiring, coaching, and scaling high-performing engineering teams in SaaS environments.
- Competitive salary aligned with experience and leadership level
- 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) plan with 4% company match
- Company-paid life insurance and AD&D coverage
- Generous PTO package for strong work-life balance
- Fully remote work within North America
- Monthly stipend for home internet expenses
- New MacBook or preferred equipment provided
- Opportunity to work on a scalable SaaS platform with global customers
- Close-knit, high-ownership engineering culture with strong executive access
