Student Employment – Facilities Summer 2026 at Saint Mary-Of-The-Woods College – Terre Haute, Indiana

The Facilities Student Employment supports the Facilities Department in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional campus environment during the summer months. This position assists with a variety of tasks including groundskeeping, light maintenance, painting, and general campus upkeep.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with campus grounds maintenance (mowing, trimming, weeding, watering, etc.)
• Support custodial tasks such as cleaning common areas, residence halls, and offices
• Help with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies across campus
• Perform basic maintenance tasks (painting, minor repairs, preventative upkeep)
• Collect and dispose of trash
• Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or maintenance issues
• Provide general support to Facilities staff as needed

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current college student at SMWC & enrolled for fall ‘26
• Must be in foo standing financially with the College
• Must work 20 hours per week and will be housed in the Lake House on campus
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working outdoors
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• May require early mornings, occasional evenings, or weekend hours
