The Critical Facility Manager leads, mentors, and develops a multidisciplinary team responsible for all critical infrastructure at a hyperscale data center facility. This team includes electricians, HVAC technicians, controls engineers, multiple subject matter experts, supervisors, and managers. Salute Mission Critical is in search of a Critical Facility Manager to lead our Data Center Operations team.

On-Site Position in Barstow, TX
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Empowering a culture of safety, security, compliance, and transparency in all aspect of datacenter activities
- Leading and managing a team of high-performing individual contributors at a data center site and their ongoing talent development
- Financial administration of site activities and staff members, tracking budgets, payments and pay cycles.
- Have a complete working knowledge on creating, closing, and tracking "work requests" (WR). Initiate or respond to work orders, follow-up and verify completion of work
- Enhance the team’s ability to operate, maintain, and repair all systems.
- Deliver absolute uptime and compliance with all tenant SLAs.
- Adhere to all regulatory standards for the facility.
- Define and meet business goals and KPIs.
- Drive standardization initiatives and the adoption of best practices.
- Ensure all required maintenance is performed in accordance with company and industry standards.
- Direct the development and continuous improvement of operating procedures.
- Oversee the quality control and cost effectiveness of our vendors. Initiate and terminate vendor relationships as necessary.
- Provide direct, on-site leadership to the team on a daily basis.
- Ensure personal professional development is continuously active at all staff levels.
- Directly manage the technical Subject Matter Experts (Electrical, Mechanical, and Controls) in addition to the first line staff manager(s).
- Manage the performance of all staff on the Data Center Operations team.
- Foster a collaborative team culture built on mutual respect and a shared mission to be the best data center operators in our industry.
- In collaboration with the Human Resources manager, performing the functions and planning regarding shift cycles, people and resource deployment, payment, salaries, and other related staff activities, as they may arise
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Unwavering dedication to your team in support of their personal safety, morale, professional development, and operational capabilities.
- 10 years of experience in a mission critical environment.
- A relevant ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology may be substituted for up to 4 years of experience.
- 2 years of experience as either a first-line manager of critical environment staff, or as a technical subject matter expert.
- Experience mentoring and developing supervisors in a multidisciplinary critical environment.
- Proven success as the sole decision maker on cross functional teams with minimal guidance.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, controls, and fire suppression/alarm systems associated with mission critical environments.
- Ability to take command of major critical infrastructure events and rapidly lead internal and external teams to a stable condition.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. Must be able to respond effectively to sensitive issues, complex inquiries, or complaints.
- Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- Master HVAC or Electrician license
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Strong understanding of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM), and power metering systems.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills, with the ability to determine event root causes, performance shortfalls, and required corrective actions.
- Experience with the development, commissioning, and acceptance of mission critical systems.
- Background in the data center industry.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lifting requirements are intermediate and may be required to occasionally lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 50 – 75 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to frequently stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
TRAVEL
- Limited travel may be required in this position – typically < than 5% annually.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be willing to submit to a full criminal background check, the results of which may or may not bar employment, following applicable state and federal laws.
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, with which results will be interpreted and applied to an employment eligibility determination following applicable state and federal laws.

Compensation & Benefits Disclosure
The base salary range for this role is $70.00 to 78.59 per hour. This range reflects a good‑faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. Final compensation will be determined by job‑related factors consistent with applicable law.
