Plant Services Supervisor - 3rd shift at Electric Boat – Groton, Connecticut

The primary duties and responsibilities of Plant Services Supervisor consist of, but not limited to:

• Supervision of 15-20 janitorial hourly employees
• Achieving safety and training goals
• Project management
• Work with and supervising vendors
• Special projects
• Overseeing janitorial services at the Groton, Kings Highway, B793, and New London sites
• Cleaning equipment
• Carpentry services
• Sign shop services
• Painting services
• Hazmat services
• Development and implementation of process improvements
• Utilization of VMI programs
• Performance of preparation and removal of Christening Ceremonies, special events, road sweeper operations
• If needed, willing to participate in an alternative schedule during snow operations, snow removal and de-icing operations
• Working overtime as required to support organizational tasks
• Ability to interface with all levels of management and union leadership
• Be able to work 3rd shift.

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance or similar scope of work
• Working daily and weekend overtime to support snow removal operations and special projects as needed
• Working daily and weekend overtime as requested
• Work alternate shift/ 3rd shift as needed at the discretion of management.

Preferred:

• 1+ year of supervisory experience
• Janitorial experience
• Snow removal experience
• Knowledge of backhoe and tractor operations
• Knowledge of SDS process
