Job Overview

Handshakers Construction is seeking a skilled, reliable Carpenter/Handyman to join our dynamic Field Operations team. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for someone with 35 years of residential carpentry and remodeling experience. Key Responsibilities
  • Cut, shape, and install building materials during construction, remodeling, and repair projects

  • Frame walls, install trim, flooring, drywall, cabinetry, and finish carpentry

  • Form and pour concrete for footings, piers, slabs, and columns

  • Perform project take-offs, assess material requirements, and assist in estimating

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and layout designs

  • Troubleshoot project challenges and provide customer pricing/work orders

  • Collaborate with teammates to meet deadlines and ensure client satisfaction

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and coworkers

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in carpentry, remodeling, and/or handyman work

  • Skilled in at least one of the following: finish drywall, frame carpentry, trim work, painting, flooring

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred)

  • Valid drivers license with personal auto insurance

  • Must own hand tools and have a reliable vehicle

  • Own a smartphone with internet access

  • OSHA 10 preferred, not required

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow detailed instructions

  • Strong communication, time management, and customer service skills

  • Able to pass a background check and drug screening in compliance with applicable laws
