Shift: Swing Shift (12-hour rotating schedule)

The Processing Technician supports the safe and efficient processing, blending, packaging, and bulk loading of refined vegetable oils. This role operates advanced processing equipment and plays a critical role in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and operational reliability.

This position requires flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. Overtime, weekend, holiday, and night work may be required based on business needs.

• Operate computerized processing systems, boilers, and wastewater equipment

• Sample, measure, and monitor product and tank temperatures

• Blend, transfer, and route oils using valves and piping systems

• Read and use tape measures and gauges accurately

• Inspect heat tracing, clear lines, and prepare systems for operation

• Assist with spill containment and cleanup when required
  
  

• Change industrial filters and maintain equipment

• Prepare equipment for startup, shutdown, and severe weather conditions

• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment

• Maintain clean, organized, and food-safe work areas

• Participate in continuous improvement and safety initiatives

• Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Six (6) months of related industrial or manufacturing experience preferred

• Equivalent education and experience will be considered

• Ability to read and follow safety procedures and operating instructions

• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

• Ability to work independently and take initiative

• Comfortable working at heights (up to 60 feet)

• Ability to read measurements and use basic tools

• Effective verbal and radio communication skills

• Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, and conversions

• Strong problem-solving and reasoning ability

• Stand, walk, climb ladders and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl

• Work at elevated heights (up to 60 feet)

• Hear and communicate via radio and phone

• Work occasionally in confined spaces (respiratory clearance required)

• Indoor and outdoor work environments

• Temperature-controlled areas and variable outdoor conditions

• Exposure to moving machinery, chemicals, steam, and electrical systems

• Loud industrial environment (hearing protection provided)

• Occasional wet, humid, or confined spaces
