Director of Product – Payments

Debt Repayment, Collections & Regulated Verticals

📍 Draper, UT (On-Site)

The Role

The Director of Product – Payments owns the strategy, economics, and regulatory integrity of our payment platform.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Acquiring & sponsor bank relationships
  • Financial performance & margin optimization
  • Network and regulatory compliance
  • Repayment outcomes & recovery performance
  • Emerging payment rail innovation

You’ll be accountable for how money moves, what it costs, how it performs, and how it scales safely across regulated repayment use cases.

This is a senior leadership role with strategic authority and hands-on ownership.

What You’ll Own💰 Payment Economics & Margin Performance

  • TPV growth and Net Revenue % across all rails
  • Payment P&L by rail, use case, and vertical
  • Interchange optimization and routing strategy
  • Least-cost routing across Card, PIN debit, ACH, RTP, FedNow, and emerging rails
  • Processor and sponsor bank commercial relationships

🧭 Product Strategy (Regulated Repayment Focus)

  • Payment acceptance across BHPH, collections, and property management
  • Flows that improve cure rates, reinstatements, and recovery outcomes
  • Reduced chargebacks, ACH returns, and dispute exposure
  • Product decisions aligned with consumer protection and regulatory boundaries

🛡 Regulatory & Network Stewardship

  • PCI-DSS, NACHA, Visa, Mastercard, debit network compliance
  • Sponsor bank expectations and audit readiness
  • Product guardrails that scale responsibly
  • Close partnership with Risk & Compliance

🚀 Innovation & Emerging Rails

  • Evaluation and scaling of RTP, FedNow, and alternative payment methods
  • Commercial and compliance-driven rollout of new rails
  • Architecture built for multi-vertical expansion

🤝 Executive Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Internal SME on acquiring and repayment flows
  • Partnership with Engineering, Risk, Finance, Sales, and Operations
  • Clear executive-level communication on payment performance

What Success Looks Like

  • Sustainable TPV growth with improving Net Revenue %
  • Lower cost per transaction through smarter routing
  • Expanded payment methods without increased compliance risk
  • Scalable, regulator-ready payment architecture
  • Strong processor and sponsor bank partnerships

What We’re Looking For

  • 8–12+ years in fintech or payments product leadership
  • Direct experience in payments acquiring (not issuing-only)
  • Experience in regulated repayment environments (collections, lending, BHPH, property management)
  • Deep understanding of interchange economics and routing
  • Experience working with processors, sponsor banks, and network compliance teams
  • Proven ability to operate in a scaling, fast-paced environment

Who Will Thrive Here

This role is best suited for product leaders who have worked close to the core of payments infrastructure — not just surface-level checkout experiences.

You’ll likely thrive if you:

  • Have owned or influenced payment margins or unit economics
  • Understand the real-dollar impact of different payment rails
  • Have worked in regulated repayment or high-risk acquiring environments
  • Are comfortable balancing growth, compliance, and risk
  • Are accountable for revenue outcomes — not just feature delivery

Why This Role Matters

At BlytzPay, payments are the product.

Decisions in this role directly impact revenue, regulatory exposure, and long-term scalability.

If you care deeply about how money actually moves — what it costs, how it performs, and how it operates within regulatory guardrails — you’ll feel right at home.
