About This Position

Trainer – Construction
Full-time for a fixed term of 12 months
Home-based with regular travel covering Kent and the South
Up to £30,000.00 per annum, experience dependent

The Role
As an experienced trainer, you will deliver regulated and non-regulated qualifications/training to our ESFA and DWP government-funded learners or other provisions where necessary.

The delivery schedule is driven by our learners’ geographical locations; at present, delivery is remote but will require travel to all of Twin sites across London and alternative Twin sites across our different regions in the Coast to Capital, Kent, Essex, which are hired to deliver the qualifications. Due to this, home and lone working will be required. The role requires an organised professional with the ability to adapt to new environments and needs to be resourceful and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and monitor learners’ attendance and punctuality, and report absences no later than the first break.
  • Manage timely achievement for each cohort
  • Completion of assessment records per unit/qualification by the submission deadlines provided.
  • Be responsible for chasing learners for outstanding work product if passed the submission deadline.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all learner digital authorisation emails and registers are recorded promptly and available on day one of the courses and monitored throughout the course.
  • Request and manage the float provided for learner travel expenses per course, where required
  • Creation of assessment workbooks, lesson plans and schemes of work and further resources to keep it current.
Essential Qualifications
  • Assessing qualification, TAQA, A1 or equivalent
  • Level 2 functional skills in math and English
  • Occupational competence in one or two of the following subject areas: IAG, Business administration, Warehouse and Logistics, Hospitality, Essential Digital Skills and Health & Social Care.
  • PTTLS, DTTLS or equivalent is desirable
Skills and Experience
  • Delivering to post 16
  • Delivery of Employability and L1 to L2 vocational qualifications
  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisations: Edexcel, NCFE, Ascentis qualifications desirable
  • Experience in embedding British Values, Prevent and Safeguarding to lessons
