Warehouse Shipper at DC Dental LLC – Woodlawn, Maryland

The Warehouse Shipper receives, packs, processes, and ships customer orders within the DC Dental Warehouse by performing the duties noted below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive and handle customer orders and prepare them for shipment.
• Verify accuracy of orders by ensuring the items contained in the packages match customer orders.
• Address and missing or defective items found in outgoing packages.
• Organize and pack products in the correct shipping package to ensure they are delivered safely and not damaged.
• Print customer invoices and ensure they are placed in the appropriate package.
• Secure and enclose packages in preparation of shipment.
• Prepare and place shipping labels on processed packages.
• Ensure all outbound deliveries and transactions are posted according to a Warehouse Management System.
• Ensure processed packages are loaded and organized onto delivery vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as by size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or relocate orders to a holding area or to the shipping area.
• Move materials and items to and from storage areas, the shipping area, or to other designated areas within the warehouse.
• Fill requisitions, customer orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and distribute items to the shipping area or another designated area.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed according to a Warehouse Management System.
• Mark materials and products with identifying information using appropriate method, such as barcode labels.
• Physically open boxes, bales, crates, and other containers for quality control and distribution throughout the warehouse.
• Weigh and count items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Physically count inventory on hand.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One year or more of previous warehouse experience.
• Detail-oriented.
• Basic knowledge and ability to use a computer.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as to follow oral and written instructions, maintain records, document activities, and communicate with colleagues and management.
• Ability to physically to walk and be on one’s feet at least 8 hours per day.
• Ability to physically lift up to 35 pounds.
• Previous experience using RF Scan Guns and interacting with a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.

Permanent Work Schedule - 3:30pm to whenever the work is done, which is typically 11:00pm to 1:00am (Monday to Friday)

Work Schedule while training - 8:00am to 4:00pm (Monday to Friday)
