SUMMARY:

This position is primarily responsible for managing the company’s efforts to maintain relationships with its national and key accounts and securing new preferred relationships with identified top-ranked national accounts and consortia to increase revenue for the Company. This position will be managing those preferred accounts to achieve established revenue and market share goals at agreed budget levels.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, implements, and manages current sales agreements and plans to increase revenue and market share with established national and key accounts.
  • Coordinates training programs to achieve broader product awareness, including but not limited to webinars, regional and national meetings, and in-office trainings.
  • Attends national and key accounts’ conferences, conventions, marketing workshops, familiarization (FAM) trips, tradeshows, and training programs.
  • Help develop and then communicate products, sales, and special promotional opportunities to national and key accounts and sales managers.
  • Monitors sales and revenue objectives for each account to ensure market share growth and recommend appropriate action.
  • Participate in the overall development of sales policy and other assignments as required.
  • Builds presence not only with the main (headquarters) location, but also with consortia branch offices by constant communication via phone and email.
  • Conducts in-person and virtual presentations to varying crowd sizes across multiple locations.
  • Securing annual marketing plans from preferred accounts and ensuring fulfillment of said plans in a timely manner.
  • Accountable for developing and continually enhancing relationships with key corporate, business, and travel industry accounts and professional associations to maintain high visibility and increase our market share.
  • Responsible for delivering revenue targets for the assigned portfolio of accounts through strategic and tactical efforts, including but not limited to contract negotiation and implementation, account support, and service.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises National Account Coordinator(s) and Business Communication Manager(s).
  • Directly supervises employees within the National Accounts department(s).
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certificates, licenses, and registrations required: Driver’s License
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Adobe; and Salesforce.
  • Other Skills Required:
    • Must be comfortable with public speaking.
    • Exhibits strong communication, presentation, public speaking, and reporting skills.
    • Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal communication, and computer skills.
    • Clear and conceptual thinking ability is a plus.
    • Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required.
    • Friendly, courteous, service-oriented, professional, outgoing, and customer service-oriented.
    • Remains calm and professional in stressful situations.
    • Detail-oriented and works effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.

    • Must be adaptable and flexible in dealing with a variety of personalities and is frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.
    • Must be able to handle conflict and professionally represent the company.
    • Must be comfortable traveling for in-person training and meetings around the world and balancing working on the road.
    • Travel is required on an as-needed basis.

  • Must be comfortable traveling for work and wheeling luggage.
