The blood Bank Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the Blood Bank / Transfusion Service, ensure safe, accurate, and timely provision of blood and blood components,

This role provides technical leadership, staff supervision, regulatory compliance oversight, and quality assurance in accordance with AABB, CAP, CLIA, FDA, and hospital policies,

Supervises duties related to record documentation , consults with Medical Director and Administrative Director on regulatory compliance updates,

Participates in the administrative and budgetary operations of the section,

Section III: Job Qualifications

Education Training Certification/Licensure

Bachelor of Science or Medical Technology degree,

ASCP or NCA certification preferred,

Minimum of 3 years experience as a medical technologist,

Must meet the requirements for qualification of laboratory supervisor as stated by the State of New Jersey and the CAP accreditation guidelines,

Must work weekends and holidays as a general supervisor,
