About This Position
Summary |
Assists members of the Insurance Operations Department by completing a wide variety of assignments that involve technical complexity. Demonstrates a solid understanding of procedures and ability to produce timely high quality work. |
Essential Functions |
|
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships, both internally and externally, to ensure compliance with case deadlines.
- Acts as project manager to track tasks/assignments, persons responsible and target deadlines to ensure timely completion of litigation activity and proper resource allocation.
- Reviews complaints to identify pertinent causes of action and document categories to preserve.
- Maintains assigned litigation files and databases with appropriate diary controls.
- Reviews court orders and discovery requests received during litigation and coordinates the collection of data within established deadlines.
- Assists with legal research including online research tools (WestLaw, PACER)
- Assists with e discovery searches, including searches of emails, internal network drives, and applications.
- Prepares status reports for Management and assists with audits.
- Prepares draft reports for Litigation Managers, including draft reinsurance reports with financials.
- Supports Reinsurance with a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to, applying cash.
- Consistently deliver superior customer service to both internal and external business partners.
- Serve on committees and special projects as assigned.
- Empower self and teammates to continuously improve RiverStone’s business processes/systems and develops and escalates ideas and solutions.
- Empower self to make decisions within job descriptions and authority. Seek guidance where appropriate.
- Develop creative ideas and solutions to real time business problems and /or business opportunities; Take reasonable, calculated risks even if failure is possible.
- Seek continuous development by identifying areas for growth and improvement. Work with the continuous improvement team to implement process and technical improvements.
- Understand Key Performance Indicators and manages towards those priorities.
- Communicate with both internal and external customers on a regular basis.

Required | Associate's Degree, Paralegal Certification from an ABA approved program or relevant work experience. |

Work Environment / Physical Demands | This position operates in a professional, collaborative environment and must have the ability to timely produce thorough, accurate work with many competing demands, deadlines, and distractions. The position uses standard equipment such as phones, computers, copiers/printers and filing cabinets. Noise level is moderate.
