Position Summary:

Responsible for timely and quality service and repair work of hydraulic systems, pneumatic and electromechanical power systems and other mechanical systems.

Essential Functions:

• Complete service and repair work of hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical and other mechanical systems in the shop and in the field

• Proactive in selling products that would benefit the customer

• Test systems

• Support startups and field commissions as necessary

• Work with business unit manager to develop and grow service business

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Industrial experience with hydraulic repairs and systems

• Hydraulic hose fabrication

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Welding experience (preferably certified in MIG and/or TIG welding)

• Experience in tube fabrication, bending and end conditioning

• Experience with metal fabrication

• Ability to read mechanical, electrical and hydraulic schematics

• Good math and reading skills

• Skills to effectively manage time and meet all necessary deadlines

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated dependability and ability to work independently

• Able to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally

• Demonstrated adherence to safe work habits and practices, including the use of PPE and safety devices

Environment:

• Customer facilities, job sites and field service

• Requires employee to spend the majority of his or her time on foot, lifting, bending, standing and carrying items

• Steel toe shoes, flame retardant clothing and eye protection are required

• Must have flexibility in work hours including evenings and weekends

• Extensive travel required

Education:

• High school diploma or GED
