Principal Product Manager - Technical

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal Product Manager - Technical in United States.

This is a high-impact, zero-to-one product leadership role focused on defining and building the next generation of AI-powered, intelligent discovery platforms. You will own a critical product domain end-to-end, shaping how data, content, and user intent are modeled to deliver contextual, insight-driven experiences at scale. The role sits at the intersection of product strategy, system architecture, and AI innovation, requiring deep technical fluency and strong product intuition. You will partner closely with engineering, AI/ML, research, and design teams to design extensible platform capabilities and scalable APIs. A key part of your work will involve translating complex technical and user problems into clear product direction, metrics, and execution plans. You will also engage with senior stakeholders and external customers to validate needs and refine product-market fit. This is a highly strategic role with broad influence across the platform and long-term product vision.

Accountabilities
  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a core capability within a next-generation AI-powered discovery platform.
  • Define data models, system architecture principles, and platform interfaces that enable scalable, context-aware product experiences.
  • Partner with engineering teams to design and deliver robust APIs, platform components, and observability frameworks supporting extensibility and reuse.
  • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate capabilities such as semantic search, LLM-based assistants, personalization, and classification systems.
  • Write PRFAQs, product narratives, and technical strategy documents to align leadership and drive high-impact decision-making.
  • Define success metrics, instrumentation strategies, and experimentation frameworks to measure product performance and inform iteration.
  • Engage directly with enterprise customers, analysts, and partners to validate requirements and refine product direction.
  • Serve as a domain owner, driving cross-functional alignment and raising product and execution standards across teams.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to strengthening product management practices in a highly technical environment.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years in technical or platform-focused product roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
  • Proven success building and scaling zero-to-one (0→2) products or platform capabilities in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong technical fluency with the ability to engage deeply in architecture, APIs, and system design discussions with engineering teams.
  • Experience working on AI/ML-powered products, including areas such as semantic search, RAG systems, or entity extraction (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, metadata systems, or knowledge graph concepts is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, data science, design, and research.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience influencing senior executives (VP/SVP level).
  • Strong customer and business orientation, with a track record of driving measurable adoption and engagement outcomes.
  • Ability to operate autonomously in highly ambiguous, matrixed environments with strong ownership mindset.
Benefits
  • Total annual compensation range of $200,000–$270,000 (base + variable compensation, depending on experience and location)
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) plan with company match (3% match on first 6% of contributions)
  • 15 vacation days (prorated), 12 company-paid holidays, and 2 floating holidays
  • 6 paid sick days (prorated, varies by state)
  • Paid parental leave and company-paid short-term disability coverage
  • One paid volunteer day annually
  • Equity in a globally recognized, industry-leading organization
  • Remote-friendly work across eligible U.S. states
  • Opportunity to shape foundational AI-driven platform products with global impact
  • Collaborative, high-caliber environment focused on innovation, rigor, and long-term career growth
