About This Position
JOB TITLE: Facilities Team Member
REPORTS TO: Facilities and Construction Manager
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
PAY RATE: $22.25/hr - $27.00/hr
JOB SUMMARY: Works with all maintenance facilities, repairing buildings through-out the park, and may include building new projects as requested. Carpentry experience preferred.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists facilities manager in all building projects.
Must be able to troubleshoot clearly, calmly, and safely in the presence of guests and co-workers.
Ensure state/federal regulations are adhered to.
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
Operate within the policies and procedures of Elitch Gardens.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years old
Solid working knowledge and experience in basic carpentry, demolition, plumbing and electricity.
Must be able to read, understand, and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
Re-model skills would be a plus.
In this position you must possess oral and written English skills and must be able to communicate with Guests and fellow Team Members effectively.
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Required to work in various weather conditions.
Available to work overtime.
Available to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
Attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for long periods, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
You will be working around heavy dust, water, and walk on uneven surfaces. Due to dust, dirt, fumes and noise, some work requires respirators and safety clothing.
Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the assistance of a fellow Team Member.
Ability to work at heights up to 200’ above grade.
Ability to distinguish color.
Possess 20/20 corrected vision. (Corrective lens, if required, must be worn while on duty).
Specific vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Possess normal or average corrected hearing. (Defined as 25 decibels or better in the frequency range of 500HZ-4000HZ considered normal speech frequency range). (If a corrective device is needed to achieve this range, it must be worn while on duty)
