Staff Accountant at Our Company – Seffner, Florida

Rooms To Go is seeking a full time Staff Accountant to join our growing team!

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serves as a key member of the Financial Reporting Team
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, identification and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
• Analyze trended balance sheets and income statements
• Propose solutions to streamline the corporate close processes
• Participation and contribution to special reporting projects including system enhancements, process improvement, general ledger implementation, etc.

Requirements:

• BA/BS in Accounting
• Must have good oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, high level of integrity, ingenuity and initiative
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and flexibility to work hours needed to meet deadlines is critical for this position
• Must have a strong understanding of accrual and cash basis accounting concepts
• Previous experience working in Excel is necessary
• Must be able to work in a team, recognize problems and offer potential solutions
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously
