This is a full-time in-office role M-F 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Candidates living farther than 40 miles or 1 1/2 hours from the office will not be considered for the position.
Salary: $70,000-$75,000
We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to take full ownership of our Accounts Payable (AP) functions and bank reconciliations. This is not a "data entry" role; we are looking for a tech-savvy accountant who enjoys leveraging AI to streamline workflows and ensures the highest level of integrity in our financial data.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Payable Leadership
- End-to-End Ownership: Oversee the full AP cycle, from vendor onboarding in Salesforce to weekly payment processing.
- Strategic Cash Management: Prepare weekly payment proposals and coordinate liquidity requirements with the Controller.
- Audit & Reconciliation: Reconcile monthly AP to the balance sheet and match ledger accounts to vendor statements/portals.
- Vendor Relations: Manage credit applications, investigate PO exceptions, and serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries.
- Security & Compliance: Manage ACH instructions and documentation for all new and existing vendors.
Financial Operations & AI Integration
- AI Oversight: Monitor and verify the accuracy of AI-driven processes within our financial systems to ensure data integrity.
- Banking: Process all bank activity and assist with month-end bank reconciliations.
- Asset Management: Maintain and update vehicle amortization tables.
Platform Management
- Take eventual ownership of corporate billing and reconciliation for major platforms, including Ramp, eFleet, WEX, AMEX, Egencia, T-Mobile, and Hotel Engine.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Tech Stack: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with Salesforce and Accounting Seed is highly preferred.
- The AI Edge: A strong preference for—and comfort with—working alongside AI-driven accounting tools.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and clear professional communication.
