About This Position

Program Manager, Behavioral Health

POSITION SUMMARY: The Program Manager of Behavioral Health provides comprehensive programmatic and operational leadership for Serenity House, Diamond Willow, and the Mobile Crisis Team, including Psychiatric Emergency Services. This role is responsible for ensuring that Serenity House and Diamond Willow operate as high-quality, recovery-oriented residential programs that promote safety, engagement, structure, and continuity of care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.

The Program Manager ensures that residential services at Serenity House and Diamond Willow are delivered in a manner consistent with evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, and the organization’s patient-centered philosophy. This includes oversight of daily operations, staffing models, milieu management, clinical coordination, and quality improvement efforts. The position works closely with residential supervisors to ensure consistent programming, therapeutic engagement, and staff accountability across both facilities.

In addition to residential program oversight, the Program Manager leads the integration and ongoing management of Psychiatric Emergency Services within the Mobile Crisis Team, ensuring alignment between community-based crisis response and residential treatment services as part of a coordinated behavioral health system.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Healthcare, Management, Science or Behavioral Sciences)
  • 4 years of relevant technical experience
    • Relevant technical experience includes; community-based service delivery (EMS, community outreach, government, partnership development, case manager, police officer, home health, etc.)
  • 3 years of leadership experience
  • State of Alaska EMT or Emergency Trauma Technician
  • BLSP and ACLS from the American Heart Association within 30 days of employment
  • Chemical Dependency Tech/Behavioral Health Tech through ACBHC within 6 months of employment
