Job Overview

Quality Plus Services Inc. (QPS) is seeking a skilled and driven Electrical Foreman to lead commercial and industrial electrical projects in the Jacksonville, FL region. This role is responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating daily operations, ensuring strict safety and code compliance, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

As an Electrical Foreman at QPS, you will serve as the on-site leaderdirecting crews of 530+ electricians across multiple job sites while upholding our high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supervision & Leadership: Direct electricians and apprentices, assign daily tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide hands-on training and mentorship.

  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan layouts, interpret wiring diagrams, install conduit systems and electrical panels, and monitor progress to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

  • Technical Compliance: Ensure all work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC), local and city ordinances, plant standards, and project specifications.

  • Safety Enforcement: Enforce OSHA 30 standards and QPS safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment across all job sites.

  • Material & Resource Management: Order materials, maintain inventory, manage tools and equipment, and ensure proper utilization of resources.

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Manage crew schedules and manpower planning to meet project deadlines efficiently.

  • Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between field crews, general contractors, project managers, and clients.

  • Travel: Perform local travel within Florida and along the east coast of Georgia for short-term project assignments as needed.

Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License.

  • Several years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical construction.

  • Prior leadership or foreman-level experience supervising field crews.

  • Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • In-depth knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards.

  • OSHA 30-hour certification.

  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting 50+ pounds, trenching, climbing, and working at heights.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Valid drivers license.

  • A background check will be completed as part of the onboarding process, in compliance with applicable laws.
