About the Role:

The Director of Finance & Controlling Americas will lead the financial strategy and operations across the Americas region, ensuring robust financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business growth and profitability. This role is pivotal in driving financial discipline, compliance, and risk management while partnering closely with regional leadership to align financial goals with overall corporate objectives. The Director will oversee budgeting, forecasting, and controlling functions, providing insightful financial guidance to influence strategic decision-making. They will also manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. Ultimately, this position ensures the financial health and sustainability of the organization within the Americas market through effective leadership and financial stewardship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance and controlling roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial regulations applicable in the Americas.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA.
  • Experience working in a multinational corporation with exposure to diverse markets within the Americas.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Demonstrated success in driving financial transformation and process optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts for the Americas region.
  • Oversee financial controlling activities, including variance analysis, cost control, and financial reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls across all financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights that drive decision-making.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop the finance and controlling team to enhance their capabilities and performance.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Monitor key financial metrics and provide timely reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors to ensure accurate and transparent financial disclosures.
