JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Rail Services Material Handler participates in the execution of warehouse operations in an industrial work environment. To successfully perform these tasks, it requires a high level of attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.

• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
• Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
• Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
• Maintain and safeguard business records.

Additional Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Bring in pallets/crates/small packages that need to be received. This includes opening some crates in such manner as to allow for their reuse and storing as required. Some crates will be disposed of.
2. Open boxes/crates to verify that items received match the information on the drawing and the RMA.
3. Operate forklift and other powered equipment.
4. Contact internal parties as needed for details
5. Assist with updating material locations
6. Assist with material cleaning as needed. For example, clean dirt and grease from machines and equipment, such as compressors, brake equipment, and associated valves, using cleaning solutions, rags, vacuum systems, high pressure wash, or dry ice blasting equipment.
7. Under the guidance of Sr. personnel, ensure material flows efficiently and in a timely manner to and from the factory.
8. Pull & deliver material to shipping as instructed in order to meet deadlines.
9. Helps with packaging of shipping goods when required.
10. Must be willing to work overtime
11. Using the Knorr 5S standard, organize material in the Rail Service warehouse ensuring it is neat, organized, accurate and safe.
12. Assist with daily operations of the warehouse.
13. Perform other duties as instructed by Management and Sr. personnel.

Requirreed Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience:

0-2 Years Relevant Experience

Physical Demands:

Sitting, Standing, Walking, Alternate Sitting or Standing at Will, Crouching, Pushing and Pulling, Stooping, Reaching Overhead, Kneeling, Lifting or Carry maximum of 50 LBS.

The anticipated wage for candidates who will work in Westminster, MD is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry and education. Knorr Brake Company is a multi-state employer, and this pay scale may not reflect positions that work in other states or locations. Provided they meet all eligibility requirements under the applicable plan documents, employees (and their eligible dependents) will be eligible to enroll in group healthcare plans that offer medical, dental, vision, and basic life and disability insurance. Employees also will be able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive 80 hours of vacation leave. Employees will also enjoy 12 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday throughout the calendar year, subject to relevant terms outlined in the employee handbook. 6 weeks of paid parental leave will also be available for use. Requirements for these benefits will be controlled by applicable plan documents and policies. Employees working on federal contracts covered by the Federal Paid Sick Leave requirements will be notified and will receive benefits consistent and compliant with the FPSL requirements. Hired applicant will be able to purchase company stock, subject to the relevant plan documents and annual bonuses based on achievement of certain metrics.
