Dexa Technician in San Jose, California at Silicon Valley Medical Development

El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a talented Dexa Technician to join our growing healthcare team!

Pay: $36.00- $40.73/hour

Shift: Monday-Thursday 9am-5:30pm and Sat 8:00am-4:30pm

Location: Willow Glen (San Jose)

Silicon Valley Medical Development is recruiting full-time Dexa Technicians for our El Camino Health Primary Care and Multi-Specialty Care outpatient practices located in San Jose, CA.

The Dexa Technician performs dexa scans providing a high standard of high quality diagnostic imaging service for the detection of osteoporosis.

Requirements

• Diploma of the College of Radiographers/Bachelor of Science in Radiography
• Certificate of Competence in Bone Densitometry
• Ability to perform DEXA scan using departmental and practice policies and procedures
• In depth knowledge of local bone densitometry service procedures, reporting and recall protocols
• Knowledge of Bone Density Procedures and Protocols
• Knowledge of regulations and rules for Radiation safety
• Knowledge of infection control policy
• Knowledge of equipment used in order to be aware of malfunctions and errors and to report such incidents to the radiology manager
• Experience working with an EMR
• Ability to accurately type a minimum of 40 WPM
• Strong verbal and written communications, and active listening skills
• Solid patient/guest relations skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, courteous and efficient manner
• Ability to perform basic math
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize task in order to complete assignments within the time allotted to maintain standard workflow
• Ability to work effectively as a team member who is flexible, cooperative and willing to assist others
