Job Description
Incodema3D is a leader in precision manufacturing, bridging the gap between cutting-edge additive manufacturing (3D Printing) and traditional CNC machining. We deliver high-precision, cost-effective components to industries requiring uncompromising quality.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Production Planning Manager to oversee our end-to-end production lifecycle. This role bridges the gap between additive (DMLS, PBF) and subtractive (CNC Milling/Turning) workflows to meet efficiency, quality, and delivery goals. You will be responsible for managing production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, reducing bottlenecks, and driving maximum throughput for high-precision, cost-effective manufacturing.]
Key Responsibilities
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules that synchronize additive manufacturing builds with post-processing, CNC machining, and finishing.
Workflow Optimization: Lead the manufacturing process flow from order to shipment, integrating both additive and subtractive workflows to maximize efficiency.
Capacity Planning: Analyze build times vs. machine availability for both 3D printers and CNC machines; manage powder inventory and material resources.
ERP/MES Management: Manage data within ERP/MES systems to ensure accurate, real-time tracking of work-in-progress (WIP) across multiple production stages.
Bottleneck Reduction: Identify inefficiencies, implement lean principles, and drive continuous improvement to enhance throughput and reduce downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and quality teams on print file optimization (build files), support removal, heat treatment, and surface finishing.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all production steps adhere to safety, quality, and industry-specific standards (e.g., ISO 9001/AS9100).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, or business operations and a minimum of 3+ years of production planning experience, preferably in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment. (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered); strong experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and ERP systems for real-time shop floor tracking; strong proficiency in Excel and specialized scheduling software; demonstrated knowledge of both additive manufacturing (DMLS/PBF) and traditional machining (CNC); exceptional communication, organizational skills, and high attention to detail, and proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic team environment are required.
