In this role, you will lead a high-impact supportability and logistics engineering function focused on defining, planning, and optimizing system sustainment across complex aerospace and defense programs. You will manage a technical team responsible for logistics support analysis and ensure sustainment requirements are fully integrated into product and program lifecycles. Acting as both a functional and program leader, you will coordinate across engineering, operations, and customer stakeholders to align expectations and deliverables. The role combines technical depth in supportability engineering with strong leadership in planning, execution, and performance management. You will contribute directly to mission readiness, lifecycle efficiency, and long-term system operability in a highly regulated environment. This position is fully onsite and requires a Secret clearance due to program requirements.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead and mentor the Logistics Support Analysis team responsible for defining system supportability and sustainment requirements across program lifecycles.
  • Oversee planning and execution of military aircraft maintenance and sustainment concepts, including depot activation, site standup, and facilities readiness.
  • Manage integration of Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements across DoD acquisition and sustainment phases.
  • Develop, schedule, and manage detailed work packages while ensuring delivery against cost, schedule, and performance targets using Earned Value Management principles.
  • Act as both functional and program manager, ensuring effective staffing, tools, and processes are in place to achieve program success.
  • Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to align expectations and ensure compliance with technical and contractual requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 9+ years of relevant engineering experience, or Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of Logistics Support Analysis and Integrated Product Support principles.
  • Experience in military aircraft maintenance, operations, sustainment, and support planning.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition lifecycle and sustainment strategies, including contractor and organic support models.
  • Ability to manage complex technical teams and communicate effectively across engineering and leadership audiences.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Preferred: experience with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, Sparx EA) and familiarity with logistics standards such as GEIA-STD-0007.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range: $122,800 – $184,200 annually (based on experience and qualifications).
  • Eligibility for performance bonuses, overtime pay, and shift differentials depending on role structure.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Paid time off, company holidays, and vacation benefits.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer support.
  • Relocation assistance may be available.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact defense and aerospace programs with national significance.
