POSITION TITLE: Human Resource Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Human Resources Director
FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support across Human Resources functions with a primary focus on recruitment coordination and front-line benefits administration. This role serves as a key point of contact for candidates and employees, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional support throughout the employee lifecycle. The HR Coordinator supports hiring processes, onboarding, benefits inquiries, and HR systems while maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and organizational efficiency.
ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Core Job Functions & Essential Tasks
- Supports recruitment processes including job postings, applicant tracking, and candidate communication
- Coordinates onboarding and offboarding processes, including system entry and orientation logistics
- Maintains employee records and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Tracks compliance-related requirements (e.g., background checks, licensure, employee documents)
- Provides front-line support for employee benefit questions, enrollments, and changes, escalating complex issues as needed
- Utilizes HR systems and Microsoft office software to complete assigned tasks and reporting
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Coordinates interview scheduling, hiring manager communication, and candidate logistics
- Assists in maintaining HR documentation, files, and audit-ready records
- Supports benefits administration including enrollment, documentation, and communication materials
- Processes HR-related paperwork, including new hire documents, status changes, and terminations
- Assists with tracking HR metrics such as vacancies, turnover, and hiring timelines
- Maintains organization of HR files, systems, and shared resources
- Requests, Service & Responsiveness
- Serves as a first point of contact for employees and candidate HR-related questions
- Provides timely, accurate, and professional responses for recruitment status, onboarding, and benefits
- Directs inquiries appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Supports employees in navigating HR systems, forms, and processes
- Ensures follow-through on requests and maintains strong internal customer service standards
- Projects & Special Assignments
- Assists with HR initiatives such as employee engagement activities, audits, and process improvements
- Supports recruitment campaigns, hiring events, and workforce initiatives
- Assists with benefits open enrollment coordination and communication efforts
- Participates in HR-related projects including system updates, reporting, and compliance reviews
- Completes special assignments as directed by supervisor or organizational needs
- Departmental & Organizational Support
- Supports overall HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle processes
- Collaborates with HR team, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure effective organizational support
- Participates in meetings, committees, and organizational initiatives as assigned
- Provides general administrative support to ensure overall organizational efficiency
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of administrative, HR, or customer service experience preferred
- Proficiency in relevant systems (HRIS, Microsoft Office, various systems and platforms, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity or similar)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism; exercise sound judgment.
- Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
Driver Level: Level 2
Position Flexibility: This position is primarily onsite, with limited, pre-approved remote work permitted. Remote work arrangements must be formally documented in writing, maintained in the employee’s file, approved by HR, and any changes or exceptions must be communicated to HR.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged sitting and computer use.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 30lbs.
- Bending, stooping, and minimal physical activity as required.
- Occasional travel as needed.
